"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

Congressional sessions open with the recital of the Pledge, as do government meetings at local levels, it's words are uttered in school class rooms throughout America, as well as many other institutions/organizations.

The unfortunate sad reality today is that this pledge made by our elected Representatives regularly has somehow forgotten the "for all" part.

Today in America "Justice" has been relegated to mainly the affluent, wealthy, and massive corporations which can afford to buy their tainted form of "justice"; leaving the vast majority of Americans with something far less palatable, and which only faintly resembles the liberty & justice we our promised by our constitution & referred to in the solemn allegiance to this nation.

It's not hard to see this process of class inequality working with the pharmaceutical tort litigation process. The judges are appointments of political leaning derived from the huge law firms that cater to the rich and corporate hierarchy. Even our government & department of justice have roots planted firmly in the protection of the wealthy @ the expense of the general population's liberties & this basic concept of equal justice for all.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention those many supposed plaintiff law firms that prey upon victims of wrong doing to enrich themselves at the expense of their clients & sworn oath.

They too play a large role in the denial of justice in America by reducing the suffering of others into the finely crafted art of self serving profiteering. In pharmaceutical tort litigation plaintiff law firms have organized/created a no lose scenario; where they profit whether they ever take a case to trial or win a client verdict.

It works something like this: collect many thousands of clients which have been harmed by a pharmaceutical product, select a test case for trial, then win or lose come to a settlement offer that serves you behind closed doors in secret. Then without considering the best interest of those they are representing (supposed to serve), drop all clients that don't go along with this sweet heart secret deal and collect 40% bounty plus expenses from the rest.

In fact, when you have enough of these kind of law firms added into the mix, only one or two of the many firms has to bare the expense of actually preparing a case or two for trial; while the rest can just sit back and reap the vast financial rewards.

Quite a racket they have going except for a pesky concept called equal "justice for all" & the ethical obligation of "serving your clients best interest".

Oh yes, I wouldn't want to forget that when that particular litigation is concluded, they just reload the net with the next drug and do it all over again.

So as you can see, there is one obvious glaring factor missing...the vast majority of injured parties don't receive anything even close too resembling justice. They are just thrown into the growing garbage heap of the lesser means America to be forgotten, forever denied our Nations lost treasured values of equality, liberty, & justice.

This couldn't be more evident than in this seroquel litigation where a foreign based corporation employs incredible capital to influence our political representatives, our courts & judges; while spending hundreds of millions of dollars buying the services of the most powerful law firms and lawyers in the World to make sure our citizenry never receive an opportunity to present their wrongful injury & death cases before a jury of their peers. 

It's not about justice, guilt, or innocence after all! It' has become all about greed and power...those that have it, flaunt it.....those that don't; I believe you might have some idea what they get!

I know many who read this may say to themselves this doesn't effect me! Why should I get involved or be interested in this fight, or It's really none of my business!

The unfortunate reality is nothing could be farther from the truth. You may be the next victim of an unsafe product mass marketed to reap unfathomable profits for a huge corporation. It's you after all that will be paying through your tax dollars and loss of American productivity of those injured & disabled by these corporations. Who do you think will foot the bill for SSDI, medicare, medicaid, welfare, and this added burden inflicted upon society as a whole? If the massive corporations the cause the injuries are not held accountable, you ( Joe or Jane American) inevitably will be...

Maybe we just need to rewrite the pledge of allegiance to properly reflect the state of our union today:

"I pledge allegiance to my corporate and wealthy masters under this once proud flag of America; for the board rooms, greed, & profiteering for which it stands. One nation under tyranny, forever divided between the haves and have not's, the rich & the poor, with liberty and justice for only the selected few."

Better yet, maybe it's time to make a stand & fight for our principles....too refuse this ridiculous settlement offer, and seek out true legal representation (if they still exist in America?) that will join the Seroquel Injured Parties in their quest for true"Justice" determined by a jury of their peers.

Why? Simply because it's the Right thing to do!
